2. Disconnect plug 1 of the wiring harness from the fuel injection pump control unit by moving it in the direction of the arrow (see illustration).
3. Connect a compression tester with a pressure measuring range of 10-40 bar with a corresponding adapter to the glow plug socket (see illustration).
4. Turn on the starter for about four seconds, turning the engine at a speed of at least 1500 rpm and read the compression gauge. The pressure in the cylinders should not differ by more than 1 bar.
5. Connect the plug to the fuel injection pump control unit and screw in the glow plugs.
