Removal
1. Remove the rear suspension assembly as described in Chapter 17.
2. Unclip the stabilizer bar clips from the rear crossmember and remove them.
3. Loosen the final drive unit mounting bolts and remove the unit from the rear crossmember.
4. Loosen and remove the trailing arm pivot bolts. Note that the bolt heads face each other. Remove the rear crossmember.
5. If necessary, replace the fasteners (see Chapter 19).

Installation
6. Install in reverse order. Tighten all nuts and bolts to the specified tightening torque Specifications. When tightening the pivot bolts, the diagonal arms must be horizontal.
