Engine disassembly — general description (Opel Omega A)

1. The engine must be disassembled in a clean area free of dust and dirt.

2. It is advisable to prepare suitable containers for storing small parts, this will help when assembling the engine.

3. Clean all components thoroughly and wipe dry. Internal channels are best blown out with compressed air.

4. Always prepare complete gasket sets when disassembling the engine.

5. If possible, install nuts, bolts and washers in their locations, this will help keep the threads from being damaged and will also be useful when assembling the engine.
