Adjusting the gap using a set of feeler gauges
Remove the distributor cap.
Engage 4th gear and, while moving the vehicle, turn the crankshaft so that the contact plate of the breaker lever comes into contact with the top of the cam of the distributor shaft.
Slightly loosen the screw securing contact group 1 (see photo) of the breaker and insert the blade of a screwdriver I between the two projections of the breaker plate into the groove of the fixed contact.

By turning the screwdriver in one direction or another, adjust the gap between the breaker contacts.
Tighten the contact plate mounting screw.
Turn the crankshaft several times and check the gap between the breaker contacts; repeat the adjustment if the gap does not correspond to the given one.
Replace the distributor cap.
Adjusting the gap using a breaker cam angle gauge

Connect the meter according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Start the engine, check the value of the breaker cam angle with the device, which should be within 50±3°.
If necessary, adjust the angle of the breaker cam by moving the fixed plate of the contact group, taking into account that the value of the cam angle decreases with an increase in the gap between the contacts and vice versa.
