Removal and installation the carburetor (Opel Kadett D)

Removal

Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

Remove the air filter.

Remove the fuel line.

Remove the starter cable.



Remove the vacuum hose.

Disconnect the cables on the carburetor.

Unscrew 4 screws, remove the carburetor and plug the intake pipe with a clean rag.

Installation

Install the carburetor with a new gasket and tighten the fasteners to 20 Nm.

Secure cables, electrical cables and hoses.

Connect the fuel line. To do this, move the copper sealing ring onto the hollow screw, move the fuel line over the hollow screw and put the second copper sealing ring on the hollow screw. Carefully tighten the hollow screw.

Connect the battery ground cable.

Install the air filter.

Check idle speed and CO content in exhaust gases.
