Removing
Raise the car.
Slightly raise the rear suspension bracket with a hydraulic lift. Unscrew the shock absorber nut and remove the cup and rubber buffer.
Remove shock absorber from holder.
Unscrew and remove the hex nut securing the shock absorber to the body.
For vehicles with adjustable ride height
Unscrew the union nut and disconnect the pressure pipe from the shock absorber. Raise the rear suspension bracket with a hydraulic lift and unscrew the hex nut of the shock absorber holder.
Installation
Before installation, check the shock absorber, see point 12.4.
Replace broken rubber buffer. Only use a new shock absorber with new rubber buffers.
Insert the shock absorber into the body, tighten the hexagon nut to 45 Nm.
Insert the shock absorber with cup and rubber buffer into the bracket holder and fasten it there. Set the hexagon nut to the adjustable dimension A = 8 mm.
Vehicles with adjustable ride height
Set the installation dimension A = 6 mm.
Screw on the pressure pipe and union nut with 3 Nm.
Pump up the system to a pressure of 80 kPa (0.8 atm) through the valve.
Lower the car.
