Removal and installation the front wing (Opel Kadett D)

Removal

Remove the bumper.

If there is an antenna, unscrew it from the wing.

Unscrew the wheel bolts, jack up the front of the car and remove the wheel.



Open the engine hood, unscrew the 7 bolts along the edge.



Unscrew the three bolts on the fairing. Remove the wing supports.





Open the door, remove the footwell trim from the door pillar, and remove the two bolts on the A-pillar inside. Remove the two bolts on the A-pillar, namely under the entry sill and at the top of the fairing with the door open, see Figure A-8124.

Remove the wing, if necessary, press it away from the flange with a screwdriver.

Installation

Seal the flange from the outside in areas A, B and C using sealing tape (OPEL No.1570587/30001911).



Install the wing and screw it to the side with 7 bolts, screw in 4 bolts in the fairing and support. Screw in 2 bolts from the outside and 2 bolts from the inside in the rack area.



Before rigidly fastening the wing, the outer edges of the wing should be oriented relative to the parts adjacent to it.



After completing the orientation, tighten the wing mounting bolts.

Install the interior footwell trim.

Install the bumper.

If there is one, install an antenna.

Screw on the wheel, lower the car, tighten the bolts.
