Battery care (Opel Astra G)

Check the condition of the tray and battery mount periodically. If traces of corrosion are found, clean the affected area and wipe with a soda solution, then rinse with clean water. Paint with zinc primer.

Check the battery level at least once every 3 months (see below).

1. The battery is located in the left side of the engine compartment. Remove the cover and check the condition of the battery case by visual inspection.



2. Check the condition and reliability of the terminals and the condition of the cables.



3. Use a special brush to clean off corrosion on the battery terminals...



4. ...and on the cable terminals.
