Removal and installation the upper sunroof glass (Opel Astra G)

1. Slide the sunroof all the way back and open the glass panel halfway.

2. Remove the four screws located at the front edge of the glass panel and remove the cover.

3. Remove the guide bolts on both sides of the panel.

4. Carefully lift the glass panel and remove it from the hatch opening through the top - try not to damage the paintwork of the roof. Assess the degree of wear and the general condition of the seals, and replace them if necessary.

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. If necessary, adjust the height of the front edge of the panel so that it is located no lower than 1.0 mm from the roof surface level. The rear edge of the glass panel should be flush with the roof surface or no more than 1.0 mm higher.
