1. It is impossible to overhaul an automatic transmission on your own; it must be entrusted to a specialist.
2. If the transmission fails, it is necessary to determine whether the damage is electrical, mechanical or hydraulic in nature, which requires special diagnostic equipment. Entrust this work to the dealer.
3. Do not remove the transmission before diagnostics have been performed, as most tests require the transmission to be in the vehicle.
