Removing
1. Remove the gearbox.
2. Connect the DT-6263 removal and installation tool (1) to the engine block.
Note. The DT-6263 remover and installer must only be connected to the engine block, not to the oil pan.
3. Fit, but do not tighten, the 4 bolts indicated by the arrows in the figure.
4. Install a suitable guide (5) on centering rod (4) DT-6263-30.
5. Fix fixture DT-6263:
- Center tool DT-6263.
- Insert centering rod DT-6263-30 assembly (2) through tool DT-6263 into the clutch pressure plate and the center of the crankshaft (arrow).
- Tighten notched wheel (1).
- Tighten bolt (3).
- Tighten the 4 bolts securing tool DT-6263 to the engine.
6. Unload clutch springs using tool DT-6263:
- Move tool DT-6263 (1) so that it rests against the petals of the springs of the clutch pressure plate.
- Lock tool DT-6263 by turning it clockwise.
7. Unscrew and dispose of 6 mounting bolts (1) clutch pressure plate.
8. Loosen tool DT-6263 (1):
- Turn the tool counterclockwise until it stops.
- Remove centering rod DT-6263-30 assembly (2).
9. Remove pressure (2) and working (1) clutch discs.
10. Check the pressure and working disks (1) and replace if necessary with new ones.
Check for:
- excessive wear;
- burning of the friction surface;
- oils on the friction surface;
- spline hub damage;
- spring damage.
Note. Clutch pressure and working discs with traces of foreign materials (oils, cleaning agents, etc.) are to be replaced. Check the clutch working disk for damage and the working disk hub for rust, replace if necessary. Do not clean the clutch pressure and working discs with high-pressure cleaners.
11. Check the depth of the rivets of the friction linings of the clutch working disc.
Note. The clutch working disc must be replaced with a new one if the rivet depth of the friction linings (arrows in the picture) less than 0.5 mm.
12. Put the working clutch disc on the splines of the input shaft of the gearbox and check the ease of its movement.
Installation
1. Clean the 6 threaded holes in the flywheel for mounting the clutch pressure plate.
2. Install working (1) and pressure (2) clutch discs.
Note.
- Centering of the clutch discs is done using the centering rod DT-6263-30 assembly (3).
- Letters designating the type of transmission must be directed towards the gearbox.
3. Unload clutch springs using tool DT-6263:
- Move tool DT-6263 (1) so that it rests against the petals of the springs of the clutch pressure plate.
- Lock tool DT-6263 by turning it clockwise.
4. Install 6 new mounting bolts (1) clutch pressure plate and tighten crosswise to 28 Nm.
5. Remove tool DT-6263 (1) from the cylinder block:
- Rotate fixture (3) all the way counterclockwise.
- Remove centering rod DT-6263-30 assembly (2) (black arrow in the picture).
- Unscrew the 4 mounting bolts and remove the tool DT-6263 from the cylinder block.
6. Install the gearbox.
