Replacing the contact disk (Opel Insignia A)

1. Remove the steering wheel.

2. Remove the steering column covers.

3. Unscrew the four mounting bolts (1) of the contact disk.

3. Unscrew the four mounting bolts (1) of the contact disk.


4. Disconnect all electrical connectors.

5. Reinstall the steering wheel angle sensor.

6. Install the new airbag contact disc.

Note: Do not remove the centering plate from the new airbag contact disc until it is fully installed, otherwise the contact disc centering procedure will need to be performed.


7. Tighten the four contact disk mounting bolts to a torque of 15 Nm.

8. Install the steering column covers and steering wheel.
