To complete the work you will need:
- jack;
- reliable support under the car;
- anti-recoil stops.
Execution sequence
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for technical service and repair»).
2. Unscrew the hub nut and remove the washer (see «Front wheel drive - removal and installation»).
3. Disconnect the ABS wiring harness block.
4. We remove the block from the bracket by pulling it up.
5. Remove the brake disc (see «Front brake discs - replacement»).
6. We press out the pivot pin of the tie rod end from the steering knuckle (see «Tie Rod End - Replacement»).
7. We press out the ball joint pin from the steering knuckle (see «Ball joint - replacement»).
8. Turn off the nuts and remove the bolts attached to the steering knuckle to the front suspension strut (see «Front suspension strut - removal and installation»).
9. Remove the steering knuckle, removing from it the shank of the outer hinge of the drive.
10. We fix the steering knuckle in a vice and with the TORX E18 head we unscrew the three hub mounting bolts.
11. Remove the hub assembly from the steering knuckle.
12. Install the parts in reverse order.
