Additional coolant pump
Removal
1. Drain the coolant.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Remove the top cover of the engine radiator.
4. Disconnect the wire from the pump.
5. Disconnect the clamps and remove the pump.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Compressor (four-cylinder models)
Removal
1. Release the pressure in the refrigerant circulation system.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Remove the additional belt.
4. Disconnect the refrigerant pipes from the compressor.
5. Disconnect the wires from the compressor.
6. Remove the three bolts at the front of the compressor.
7. Remove the three bolts at the rear of the compressor and remove the compressor.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Compressor (six-cylinder models)
Removal
1. Release the pressure in the refrigerant circulation system.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Remove the additional belt.
4. Disconnect the low pressure pipe. Disconnect the high pressure pipe from the pulsation damper. The pipes remain connected to the compressor.
5. Disconnect the wires from the compressor.
6. Remove the three bolts at the front of the compressor.
7. Remove the two bolts at the rear of the compressor.
8. Turn the compressor so that the filler bolt is facing the oil pan and remove the compressor.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Expansion valve
Removal
1. Release the pressure in the refrigerant circulation system.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the glove box.
4. Remove the blower motor.
5. Disconnect the refrigerant pipes from the partition.

6. Disconnect the valves from the evaporator housing and set them aside.
7. Remove the six screws and remove the evaporator cover.
8. Remove the bracket, disconnect the refrigerant pipes and disconnect the expansion valve from the evaporator.

Removal

3. Remove the radiator.
4. Disconnect the refrigerant pipes from the refrigerator.
5. Remove the refrigerator.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Fridge (six-cylinder models)
Removal
1. Release the pressure in the refrigerant circulation system.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the radiator.
4. Disconnect the refrigerant pipes from the refrigerator.
5. Remove the refrigerator from the rubber casing and tilt it back towards the engine.
6. Disconnect the refrigerant pipes from the air conditioner expansion tank.
7. Remove the tank bracket from the refrigerator.
8. Remove the refrigerator together with the tank.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Expansion tank
1. Release the pressure in the refrigerant circulation system.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the radiator grille.
4. Disconnect the filler neck from the windshield washer fluid reservoir. On six-cylinder models, remove the crossmember located at the front of the engine compartment.
5. Disconnect the refrigerant hoses from the expansion tank.
6. Unscrew the tank bracket and remove the tank.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Three-position switch
Removal
1. The switch is located under the expansion tank in the front left side of the engine compartment.
2. Release the pressure in the refrigerant circulation system.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Disconnect the switch wire from the multi-pin connector.
5. Unscrew the switch.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Cooling Fan Thermal Switches
Main fan
The main fan switch is located at the bottom of the radiator.
Removal and installation
1. Drain the engine cooling system coolant.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Disconnect the switch wire from the multi-pin connector.
4. Unscrew the switch.
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Additional fan
The additional fan switch is located on the left side of the radiator.
Removal and installation
1. Drain the engine cooling system coolant.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Disconnect the switch wire from the multi-pin connector.
4. Unscrew the switch.
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
