Setting the initial ignition timing on the engine «16SV»
Disconnect the wires from the ignition timing coding block.
Connect the stroboscope according to the instruction manual.
Start the engine and leave it to idle. Aim a flashing strobe light at the crankshaft pulley. If the initial ignition moment is set correctly, then the mark on the pulley should be opposite the mounting lug on the cylinder block. To set the initial ignition moment, loosen the ignition distributor mounting bolts and turn it to the required angle.
Tighten the ignition distributor mounting bolts and re-check the setting of the initial ignition timing.
Connect the wires to the coding block of the initial ignition timing.

C - ignition distributor;
O - electronic ignition control unit;
E - vacuum sensor;
F - octane regulator;
G - oil temperature sensor;
H - block encoding the initial ignition timing.
Wire color designation:
BL - blue;
HBL - blue;
BR - brown;
GE - yellow;
GR - grey;
GN - green;
U - purple;
RT - red;
WS - white;
VI - purple.
The first two letters indicate the color of the wire itself, the second two indicate the color of the strip on the wire. The numbers in the break of the wire route indicate its cross section in mm2.
