Removal and installation the carburetor (Opel Kadett D)

Removal



Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

Remove the air filter.

Disconnect the starter cable.

Remove the gas rods. To do this, remove the clamp from the ball cap and remove the rods with a screwdriver.

Disconnect the electrical wiring from the idle speed cut-off valve and the thermally controlled starter valve.

Mark and remove the fuel lines.

Mark and remove the vacuum hoses.

Unscrew the two nuts from the middle of the carburetor. Remove the carburetor and cover the intake manifold with a rag.

Installation



Install and secure the carburetor.

Connect the electrical wiring.

Install the fuel lines according to the marks.

Attach the vacuum hoses.

Install the gas rods and lock them.

Attach and adjust the starter cable.

Install the air filter.

Adjust idle speed.
