The starter is located under the carburetor and can only be removed from below.
Note: If the starter does not engage after starting, the ignition switch contact part should be replaced. The cause of joint rotation is usually not the starter, but the contact part.
Removal
Raise the front of the car.
Disconnect ground from battery.

Unscrew the positive cable from the traction relay.
Disconnect the black cable with transparent insulation from terminal 16, and the black and red cable from terminal 50.
Unscrew the upper and lower mounting bolts. Remove the starter upwards.

Installation
Screw the starter to the engine block.
Screw the thick positive battery cable to the traction relay.
Connect the male wires to terminals 16 and 50 according to the markings (black/red cable - terminal 50).
Connect the ground wire to the battery.
