Roof rack (Opel Astra J)

The roof of the Opel Astra J can be equipped with special arcs (rails) for installing a luggage rack. Crossbars and fasteners for installing a luggage rack on the roof can be purchased from an Opel dealer.

Note: In order to use the roof bars as a load carrier, they must be supplemented with at least two crossbars.

To install the trunk, use a screwdriver to pry up the inner edge of the lid...





...and fold it back. Similarly, fold back the other three lids.



Under the covers in the roof gutters there are shaped sockets for attaching the railing legs.

Attention!

• The luggage rack can accommodate a load of no more than 75 kg, evenly distributing it over the area of the luggage rack. Loads of greater weight may cause damage to the vehicle and reduce its stability.
• Large objects must not protrude beyond the dimensions of the vehicle.
• To avoid damage or loss of cargo while driving, periodically check the reliability of the cargo fastening to the luggage rack.
• Move at low speed.
