Warning! When bleeding, use only new hydraulic fluid.
Before pumping, check all tubes and connections.
Bleed valve location
The bleed valve is located on the right side of the gearbox.
Basic pumping method
1. Fill reservoir with new hydraulic fluid.
2. Remove the cap from the bleed valve. Slide the hose onto the valve and dip the other end of the hose into the hydraulic fluid.
3. Have an assistant depress the clutch pedal. Open the bleed valve and drain the fluid. Close valve. Release the clutch pedal.
4. Repeat this operation until there are no air bubbles in the escaping liquid.
Bleeding Using the One Way Valve Kit
1. A one-way valve is installed in the rubber tube of this kit to prevent air and old hydraulic fluid from getting back into the system. The kit may also include a container to collect the old hydraulic fluid.
2. After connecting the kit to the bleed valve, open the valve. Gently depress the clutch pedal and release it slowly. Repeat this operation until all air has been removed from the hydraulic system.
Bleeding Using a Pressure Bleeding Kit
By connecting the pressure bleed kit to the hydraulic fluid reservoir, the system can be bled simply by opening the bleed valve to drain the old hydraulic fluid and bleed the air.
All Methods
When priming is complete, wash off any spilled hydraulic fluid, screw the bleed valve securely, and replace the cap. Check the hydraulic fluid level again.
