When the ignition is turned on, the ABS malfunction indicator lamp lights up on the instrument panel and goes out after 4 seconds. Continuous lighting of the lamp indicates a malfunction of the system.
As soon as the speed reaches 5-6 km/h, the ABS self-checks for proper operation and is ready for operation.
To check the serviceability of the ABS elements, it is necessary to use the Opel KM or TECH 1 control equipment, operating according to the Opel 80-90 ECU program.
