Instructions for working on the fuel injection device (Opel Kadett D)

When performing work, the following cleanliness rules should be carefully observed:

1 - Before removing parts, thoroughly clean the connection area and around them.

2 - Place the removed parts on a clean lining and cover them. Use film and paper. Do not use fabric with lint.

3 - Carefully close or cover open parts if repair work is not urgent.

4 - Install only clean parts:

• Remove spare parts from packaging only immediately prior to installation.
• Do not use parts that were not packaged (for example, in factory boxes, etc.).

5 - When the system is opened:

• If possible, avoid working with compressed air.
• Do not move the vehicle.

In addition, care should be taken to ensure that diesel fuel does not come into contact with the coolant hoses. If necessary, clean these hoses immediately. Damaged hoses should be replaced.
