Attention. A class B dry powder fire extinguisher must be located nearby before starting a leak test on the fuel tank. Before removing the fuel tank to check for leaks, check that the fuel lines or hoses are not the cause of the leaks. Check after removal. that fuel does not flow through the o-rings. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
1. Drain the fuel from the tank.
2. Remove the fuel tank.
3. Plug the pressure fuel hose and the vent valve hoses on the fuel tank.
4. Plug the filler hole.
5. Connect a piece of hose to the breather hose fitting on the fuel tank and secure with a clamp.
6. Immerse the fuel tank in water or apply soapy water to the outside of the tank.
7. Create an air pressure in the breather hose of 7-15 kPa.
8. If the fuel tank is leaking, air bubbles will start to come out of the leak.
Note. If there are leaks, replace the fuel tank with a new one.
