2. Release the parking brake lever completely.
3. Raise and secure the vehicle.
4. Carefully slide the transmission tunnel insulator down just enough to gain access to the drive cable balancer.
5. Turn the end of the front parking brake cable (1) to disengage it from the balance beam.
6. Loosen the 4 nuts (2) of the parking brake.
Note: Tightening torque: 10 Nm.
7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the parking brake indicator switch.
8. Remove the parking brake lever (3) as an assembly.
9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
10. After installation, adjust the tension of the parking brake cable.
