The body of the vehicles considered in this Manual has a universal design, the supporting element of which is the floor panel, equipped with front and rear side members and forming a semblance of a frame, to which, in turn, the body panels, suspension components, steering, etc. are attached.
Some of the body components that are most vulnerable to accidents are bolted on and can be easily replaced. These removable components include moldings, bumpers, door panels, hood, trunk lid, and all glass. Only the most basic body component repair and maintenance procedures are within the skill level of the average amateur mechanic.
