Note: The main cables of the parking system drive are assembled with the equalizer; if one of the elements is faulty, the entire assembly must be replaced.
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Loosen the adjusting nut (see "Parking brake - adjustment").
3. Remove the rear wheel (see "Wheel - replacement").
4. Use pliers to remove the locking clip.

5. Using a screwdriver, press the lever down and disconnect the end of the parking brake system drive cable.

6. Remove the cable from the bracket.

7. Further operations for replacing the main cable are similar to replacing the main cable (main) cables for vehicles with rear drum brakes (see above).
