Front side glass model Zafira — replacement (Opel Zafira A)

The Zafira model has a fixed glass in the front pillar of the body, which is secured with nuts. Therefore, replacing it yourself is quite simple.

Note: The work execution is shown on the example of the operation with the left glass, replacement of the right glass is performed similarly.

Sequence of execution

1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Using a thin slotted screwdriver, remove the plug...



...and using a TORX T20 key, unscrew the bolt securing the front pillar trim.



3. Move the seal of the right door opening along the front pillar.



4. Using a slotted screwdriver with a wide blade, overcome the resistance of the clamps and remove the front pillar trim.





5. Overcoming the resistance of the clamps, remove the front instrument panel trim.

6. Using a TORX T20 key, unscrew the bolt securing the side trim of the instrument panel...



...and, overcoming the resistance of the clamps, we remove it.



7. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the four mounting nuts and remove the glass.





8. Install the parts in reverse order.
