Decorative door sill trim for Astra model — removal and installation (Opel Zafira A)

The decorative threshold trim must be removed to replace the front wing, as well as to replace it in the event of mechanical damage.

Sequence of execution

Note: The operation is shown on the left threshold trim. The right threshold trim is removed in the same way.

1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Remove the left front mudguard (see "Front fender liner - removal and installation").

3. Using a thin screwdriver, push the rear door sill trim retainer clip inward...



...and remove the holder.

Note: The holders must be replaced during assembly.

4. Pull back and remove the rear end cap of the threshold trim.



5. Push the clips inward and remove the six lower threshold holders (similar to removing the holder for the rear part of the decorative threshold strip (see above)).



6. Pulling upwards, remove the sealing rubber from the threshold trim in the door opening.



7. Pulling the threshold trim towards you, overcome the force of the holders and remove the trim.



8. Install the parts in the reverse order; before installation, check the condition of the threshold trim holders.



9. Replace the holders if necessary.
