Mudguards — removal and installation (Opel Zafira A)

Front mudguard

Note: The work is shown on the example of removing and installing the left front mudguard. Removing the right mudguard is done in a similar way.

1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Remove the front wheel (see "Wheel - replacement").

Warning: All plastic mudguard holders are single use and must be replaced after removal.

3. Using a thin slotted screwdriver, push the mudguard holder retainer inward.



4. Using the same screwdriver, remove the mudguard holder from its hole.



5. Pull the middle part of the mudguard, while using a thin slotted screwdriver, slightly bend the upper holders one by one, releasing the mudguard.





6. Remove the mudguard.

7. If necessary, use a thin slotted screwdriver to remove the upper mudguard holders.

Rear mudguard

Note: The operation is shown using the example of removing the left rear mudguard. The operation is performed similarly on the right mudguard.

1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Using a slotted screwdriver, move the upper holder, slightly bending its edges.



3. Remove the upper holder.





4. In the same way, remove the lower holder and remove the mudguard.



5. Install the parts in reverse order.
