Intake Air Storage Chamber — Removal and Installation (Opel Omega B2)

Cars with V6 engine

In the V6 engine fuel system, an additional air accumulation chamber is installed between the air filter housing and the engine.

Removal

1. Disconnect the connector of the mass air flow sensor 8 and the intake air temperature sensor 9 (see illustration).

2. Disconnect the air intake hose 1 of the mass air flow sensor from the air filter housing by loosening the fastening clamp (see illustration 5.1).

3. Disconnect both air intake hoses 2 from the intake manifold by loosening the clamps (see illustration 5.1).

4. Vehicles with 2.3-/3.0L engine: Disconnect the idle speed control hose from the 3 (see illustration 5.1).

5. Disconnect the plug and low pressure hose 5 from the solenoid valve 4 (see illustration 5.1).



6. Unscrew nuts 7, move the collection chamber upwards and remove it from the holder 6 (see illustration 5.1).

The installation of the accumulation chamber is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
