Design and technical characteristics (Opel Kadett E)

The clutch is dry, single-disc, with a central pressure spring. The clutch drive is cable-operated, gap-free. Since the 1937 model year, a pressure spring with a convex support surface has been used under the clutch release bearing, the support surface of which has become correspondingly flat. The parts of the new and old designs are not interchangeable, i.e. a pressure spring with a convex support surface must be installed only with a bearing with a flat support surface.
