Annual technical inspection of the engine and clutch (Opel Kadett D)

Engine: change oil, change oil filter.

Ignition distributor: replace the breaker contact, set the ignition timing and the closed state angle (not for electronic ignition systems).

Air filter replace filter element*.

V-belt: check condition and tension.

Spark plugs: external condition, if necessary to replace.

Cooling and heating system: check the fluid level, concentration of the antifreeze. Visually check for leaks and contamination of the radiator. Tighten all hose fastening clamps.

Carburetor: check idle speed and CO content.

Injection system: check CO content.

Exhaust system: check for damage.

Engine: visual inspection of oil connections for leaks.

Clutch: Checking pedal installation*.

Fuel filter: replace. In the injection system, replace the fine filter*.

Fuel system: check the fuel line.

Accelerator rods: check all accelerator rod ball ends, flexible drive head, intermediate shaft bearings, lubricate the accelerator pedal sliding surfaces with molybdenum paste.

Items marked with an asterisk (*) are completed every 2 years.
