General information (Opel Astra G)
Astra models are available as a 4-door saloon, 3- and 5-door hatchback and 5-door estate. Zafira models are available as a minivan with 7 seats (MFV version of Astra). The bodies are made of stamped steel, the body panels are connected by welding. The door openings are reinforced with tubular beams. All bodies are protected by an anti-corrosion coating, including galvanic zinc coating and polyvinyl chloride coating (used for insulation of welded seams).
