Note. The operation is shown using the example of replacing the drive of a hatchback car. On an Astra wagon, the operation is performed in the same way as on the Zafira model (see below, "Zafira Rear Window Wiper Drive - Replacement").
Sequence of execution
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Fold back the mudguard cover on the rear wiper arm.

3. Using a 13 mm wrench, unscrew the windshield wiper arm mounting nut.

4. Note the location of the brush on the rear window and remove the lever from its drive.

5. Remove the trim of the luggage compartment door (see "Astra model trunk door trim - removal and installation").
6. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the gearmotor.

7. Using a thin slotted screwdriver, remove the stopper of the internal mechanism of the trunk lid lock switch and move it to the side.

8. Using a TORX E8 key, unscrew the three bolts securing the motor-reducer bracket and remove it.

9. Install the parts in reverse order.
