Air conditioning filter model Zafira — replacement (Opel Zafira A)

To prevent fogging of the vehicle windows and deterioration of the air conditioning system, operations to check and replace the filter must be carried out in strict accordance with the maintenance regulations (see "Periodic maintenance").

Sequence of execution

1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Using a TORX T20 key, unscrew the four screws of the upper glove compartment mount.



3. Using the same key, unscrew the two screws of the lower glove compartment mount.



4. Remove the box from the instrument panel by pulling it towards you.



5. Disconnect the wiring harness connector for the glove box light and remove the box completely.





6. Using a slotted screwdriver, remove the retainer from the lower trim of the instrument panel.



7. Using a TORX T20 key, unscrew the two screws securing the lower trim of the instrument panel.



8. Remove the trim.



9. Remove the air duct retainer.





10. Remove the air duct.



11. Using a slotted screwdriver, remove the four filter cover retaining clips.



12. Remove the air conditioning filter cover.



13. Remove the filter element.

Warning: Install the filter element with extreme care to avoid damage.

14. Install the parts in reverse order.
