Astra Air Conditioning Filter — Replacement (Opel Zafira A)

To prevent fogging of the windows in the vehicle and deterioration of the air conditioning system, operations to check and replace the air conditioning system filter must be carried out in strict accordance with the maintenance regulations (see "Periodic maintenance").

Sequence of execution

1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Using a TORX T20 key, unscrew the three screws of the upper glove compartment mount.



3. Using the same key, unscrew the three screws of the lower glove compartment mount.

4. Remove the box from the instrument panel by pulling it towards you.



5. Disconnect the wiring harness connector for the glove box light and remove the box completely.





6. Using a 5.5 mm wrench, unscrew the three bolts securing the filter cover.



7. Remove the air conditioning filter cover.



8. Remove the filter element.

Warning: Install the filter element with extreme care to avoid damage.

9. Install the parts in reverse order.
