Note: The procedures are based on the right cylinder head secondary circuit. The operations for the left cylinder head circuit are similar.


Removal



1. Remove the front engine cover.

2. Remove the secondary timing chain tensioner.

3. Remove the secondary timing chain tensioner shoe.

4. Remove the secondary timing chain damper.

5. Remove the secondary timing chain (1).

Installation



1. Make sure that the timing marks (1) on the crankshaft sprocket and cylinder block match.

2. Install the secondary timing chain (1).

3. Place the secondary timing chain around the intermediate sprocket, aligning the marked link (1) of the secondary timing chain with the mounting hole (2) in the intermediate sprocket.
