2.0L engines
The ignition system is integrated into the engine management system and consists of an ignition distribution module and a knock sensor.
2.5 and 3.0 liter engines
These models use two knock sensors in the ignition system for the left and right cylinder banks.
Examination
1. Ignition system faults are most often caused by poor wiring connections or short circuits, rather than failure of system components.
2. If a fault is detected, first check the connecting wires and spark plugs, the condition of the air filter and hoses. If the source of the fault cannot be found, you must contact specialists.
