Astra Additional Brake Light Replacement (Opel Zafira A)

The need to perform this operation should be determined during the inspection of the technical condition of the outdoor lighting devices (see "Outdoor lighting and light signaling devices - technical condition check and maintenance").

The flashlight is made with LEDs and is a non-separable structure, so in case of malfunction it must be replaced as an assembly.

Sequence of execution

1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Disconnect the left and right pillar trims of the luggage compartment door where they adjoin the additional brake light trim. To do this, it is better to use a special device, placing a cloth underneath it so as not to damage the paintwork.



3. Using a thin slotted screwdriver, disconnect the wiring harness connector from the left pillar trim.



4. Using a TORX T20 key, unscrew the two screws securing the additional brake light and remove it.

5. Disconnect the cover from the light, alternately disengaging the four holders from the cover.



6. Install the additional brake light in the reverse order.
