Astra License Plate Light — Removal, Bulb Replacement and Installation (Opel Zafira A)

The need to perform this operation should be determined during the inspection of the technical condition of the outdoor lighting devices (see "Outdoor lighting and light signaling devices - technical condition check and maintenance").

Note: On the Astra station wagon model, the operation is performed in the same way as on the Zafira model (see "Zafira license plate light - removal, bulb replacement and installation").

Sequence of execution

1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Carefully, so as not to damage the paintwork, use a thin slotted screwdriver to pry the light up and remove it from the rear bumper trim.



3. Disconnect the wiring harness connector.



4. Using a thin slotted screwdriver, press the fasteners on both sides of the lamp and remove the light filter.





5. After slightly pressing the lamp into the socket and turning it counterclockwise, remove it from the socket.



6. Install the parts in reverse order.
