Solenoid Relay — Replacement (Opel Zafira A)

To complete the work you will need a TORX T25 key.

Sequence of execution

1. Remove the starter (see "Starter - removal and installation").

2. Using a 13 mm socket wrench, unscrew the fastening nut and remove the wire from the contact bolt of the pull-in relay.



3. Using a TORX T25 key, unscrew the three bolts securing the starter relay.



4. Remove the starter relay.



5. Remove the return spring from the relay housing...





...and remove the sealing ring from it. The damaged ring must be replaced.



6. Remove the solenoid relay anchor by disengaging it from the drive lever.



7. Install the parts in the reverse order. When installing, make sure that the tip of the pull-in relay engages with the drive lever.
